Birmingham Pride Parade 2026: New Route Through the City Centre

Birmingham Pride returns on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2026, bringing tens of thousands of participants and spectators together for one of the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations. The parade, taking place on the Saturday, will once again begin in Victoria Square before making its way through the heart of the city and finishing in the LGBTQ+ Village, where the weekend’s festivities continue.

This year, organisers have introduced a new parade route due to resurfacing works on the upper section of New Street. The updated route ensures the parade can continue safely while still showcasing Birmingham’s vibrant city centre.

From Victoria Square, the parade will move along Pinfold Street before veering slightly left onto Stephenson Street. It will then turn onto Stephenson Place and continue with a right turn onto New Street. From there, the procession heads left onto High Street, then right onto Carrs Lane, continuing onto Moor Street Queensway and St Martins Queensway.

The final stretch takes the parade along Smallbrook Queensway before turning left onto Hurst Street — the heart of Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ Village. Vehicle entries will then turn right onto Thorpe Street, where passengers will disembark and join the celebrations on foot.

The Pride parade remains a powerful mix of protest and celebration, championing equality, visibility, and community spirit. As it winds through Birmingham’s streets, it transforms the city centre into a vibrant display of colour, music, and solidarity - culminating in a weekend-long festival in the Gay Village.
