ISL Workwear Launches Warm Hearts Winter Essentials

ISL Workwear has unveiled Warm Hearts Winter Essentials, a new community initiative designed to deliver emergency winter kits and hot meals to people experiencing homelessness across Birmingham. The project reflects the company’s commitment to compassion, dignity and direct support during the coldest months of the year.

On 23 December 2025 at The Nightingale Birmingham, the garden area will serve as the central hub for volunteers, supporters and partner organisations. Running from 10:00 to 12:00, the initiative is proudly sponsored by AM2PM Group Holdings Ltd, whose support has made this large-scale community effort possible.

Dorian Chan of Ming Moon will be supplying hot soup and bread rolls on the day, ensuring every person who attends receives a warm, nourishing meal alongside their winter essentials. Kits distributed will include thermal gloves, socks, beanies, hand warmers, hygiene supplies, fleece layers and emergency blankets — all selected to offer warmth, protection and dignity to those most at risk.

Michelle Yeates of ISL Workwear highlighted the purpose behind the initiative, stating:
“Supporting those who are struggling is at the heart of what ISL Workwear stands for. Winter is an especially frightening and isolating time for people without a safe place to stay, and we wanted to do something meaningful that provides both comfort and dignity. Warm Hearts Winter Essentials is our way of showing that the community has not forgotten them. Every hat, every pair of gloves and every hot meal is a reminder that someone cares.”

Morgan McSheffery of ISL Workwear added:
“This initiative matters because no person should face the cold alone. At ISL Workwear, we believe that warmth is a basic human right. When we talked about what we could do as a company, we knew we needed to create something practical that could make an immediate difference. Seeing local businesses and volunteers come together for this has been incredibly inspiring, and I am proud that ISL Workwear is leading the charge.”

The initiative comes at a time when homelessness continues to increase across the region, with winter bringing heightened risks including hypothermia, respiratory illness and severe exposure. The winter kits are designed to offer immediate relief and practical protection, while the event itself fosters a sense of community, visibility and care for individuals who are often overlooked.

“Community supporting community” remains central to the ethos of the project, and local businesses, residents and volunteers are encouraged to support by sponsoring items, contributing supplies or participating in preparation sessions at The Nightingale Birmingham.
